Relational evangelism

CO has a strong commitment to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with students that don’t yet know him. Scriptures like 1 Thessalonians 2:8 (So, being affectionately desirous of you, we were ready to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own selves, because you had become very dear to us) and Romans 10:13-15 (For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”) give us our model and commission.

One on one discipleship

We believe that life change best happens in the context of intentional relationships. Through God’s Word, and informal and formal time with students, we help them grow into mature followers of Christ. Through the model of 2 Timothy 2:2 (and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also) we desire to equip students to invest their lives into the third and fourth generation of Christ followers.

Strategic graduation

Jesus said in Matthew 9:37-38 that the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Jesus’ answer to the problems of the world is individuals that would “labor” throughout the world wherever God would lead them. We desire as a ministry to help college students identify their gifting and desires in order to use the years post graduation to most effectively play a part in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”)
